Rock and Roll Legend Neil Young Contributing Two Songs to George Mark Children’s House Event

Neil Young is a Canadian-born singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and activist. To date he has recorded over fifty albums, received multiple Grammy and June Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as a solo artist, and again as a member of Buffalo Springfield. More than 50 years into his musical career, Mr. Young continues to record and tour on a regular basis. Kristian Bush, one-half of the country music super group Sugarland, has won just about every country music award there is to win, and garnered five number one singles in his illustrious career. Cassadee Pope is a Grammy-nominated country music powerhouse who exploded onto the scene after winning Season 3 of The Voice, and saw her debut single, “Wasting All These Tears,” go Platinum. The CMT Next Women of Country honoree has previously hit the road with Country Superstars Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts. The evening will be hosted by San Francisco Chronicle Arts and Culture Critic Steven Winn.

Rock and roll legend Neil Young is contributing two songs to George Mark Children’s House’s virtual version of its successful Sound Bites event on Thursday, June 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Mr. Young will be joining the virtual event via a brief pre-recorded performance, while country music stars Kristian Bush and Cassadee Pope will join live for one-on-one discussions and performances from their homes in Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN, respectively.Neil Young is a Canadian-born singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and activist.
